Absolutely stunning. My favorite Visible Cloaks thing. I would adore for more of the modern ambient artists who are influenced by '80s Japanese ambient artists to collaborate with one another. More collaborations like this, please.
If the first track on the Blade Runner album went on much longer, and Carl Stone joined in and started adding bits of Wall Me Do with his Mac, and then also Music for Airports was there. It's so perfect.
serenitatem, the fifteenth installment of RVNG’s intergenerational FRKWYS series, joins Visible Cloaks with Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano, trailblazers of the Japanese ambient music scene in the 1980s and 90s. While the music excels on an environmental level familiar in the collective’s individual works, serenitatem reaches unseen stratums — a pure synthesis of artistic vision, technological sophistication, futurist ambition, and, occasionally, ancient polyphony.

A compilation of ethereal tracks that serve not only as great new age music, but great electronic. There's a whole lot of music here & it traverses vast terrain to the fringes of inner space; you could get lost. Side D gets adventurous. Finally, the packaging of the LPs themselves is beautiful.
