Reassemblage

Stéfan Németh Simply otherwordly. Alien and weird. Visual, minimalist, fractured soundscapes. Synthetic entities, half-biological half-artificial. Digital existence, but of non-human nature. Complex album, difficult to grasp in its message. Probably on a completely separate dimension, both in terms of language and consciousness. Maybe a brief window to an alternate reality where a virtual world coexists within and alongside ours. Favorite track: Terrazzo (Ft. Motion Graphics).

Norris_Raider Didn’t comment at the time of purchasing but felt compelled to come back and say thank you for the space that this gives me. It’s the silence between the beautiful sounds that punctuates a perfect restfulness.
Michael Mueller

Michael Mueller This album takes ambient into the folds and textures of life itself. It purrs, clicks, whirrs and hums. It's spacious, dreamlike and playful.

Few albums are as inventive when it comes to reimagining the concepts of melody and harmonics. This album is so close to just being 'sounds' at times, and that's what makes it so compelling. It's music. Real music. To be honest, to me, more than anything else, it's jazz. Favorite track: Valve (Ft. Miyako Koda).

b_wagner Beautiful and melancholy. Late 80s, early 90s tech. Primitive 3D graphics. Star Trek: The Next Generation. Favorite track: Terrazzo (Ft. Motion Graphics).
Austin Garrett

Austin Garrett This album reminds me a lot of the Sim City soundtracks. It taps into a lot of that nostalgic innocence I felt playing those games. This is some amazing psychedelic electronic music here. I love the use of voice in this album; some really incredible harmonies and effects get used.
Aloha Got Soul

Aloha Got Soul I continue to return to this album, especially in moments when I need to escape the daily bustle, or to simply clear my thoughts. As much as "Valve" and "Terrazzo" are outstanding as standalone tracks, the true winner here is "Mask", which serves as the perfect mid-point in an album that deserves to be enjoyed in full with every listen. Favorite track: Valve (Ft. Miyako Koda).

about

Visible Cloaks’ Reassemblage is a collection of delicately rendered passages of silence and sound that invokes – and invites - consciousness. The foundation of the duo's second album could be described as translingual or polyglottal, working within an eastern / western feedback loop of influence, Fourth World ambiguity, and the universality of human emotion.
